The event will run according to WKF (2013) rules with some slight modifications, although please refer to the information pack for full details including compulsory equipment for kumite.

For those on Facebook, here is a link to the event page where you can get up to the minute information https://www.facebook.com/events/1457505944467458

The day will run according to the format of our previous tournaments: 4 mat areas (all 8m x 8m), with individual and team kata events will be on in the first half, followed by individual kumite events in the second half.

DE Photo will be taking pictures which will be available to purchase from them throughout the day and online after the event.

The SRK Café also will be open once more, providing plenty of tasty and refreshing food and drinks available to purchase throughout the day.

To help make the day run smoother we kindly ask all attending clubs to provide at least 2 officials to help out, but if you can provide more, this would be even better of course. If there are plenty of officials between all the clubs, then we can rotate them throughout the day so they’re not overworked and to keep the judging as fair and unbiased as possible for the competitors. Officials will be provided with lunch plus free tea & coffee throughout the day for their services. There is a section on the entry form for you to write down your officials details. We thank you in advance for your assistance in this matter.

If you have any questions in the meantime, please email me or call me on 07899 827 476 otherwise I look forward to seeing you and your students on 11th May.

Kind regards

Richard Hang Hong
